Water Softening System

The hardness in water is caused mainly by Calcium, Magnesium and Bicarbonate. These natural minerals are part of the basic requirements to our body’s health. However, these ions or minerals stick to the inside of plumbing pipes and water equipment, causing scaling of pipes and obstruct free water flow. Water softening system offers a water purification solution for hard water and lime scale removal.

Simple Water Softening System

Water softening system can be as simple as the installation of simple filters or a small reverse osmosis system. An alternative to water softening system is the carbon filtration systems which clean water to 98%. Carbon filtration systems cleanse and render water less adhesive instead of removing natural minerals. Carbon filtration systems are inexpensive and easily affordable.

Softness In Water Softening System

Water softening system with softener is not necessary a high cost investment. Investment can be as low as $300 with $10 worth of salt that lasted 8 months. Many companies that sell water softening system also offer water hardness tests. It is worth taking the test though it may incur additional expenses. The test serves also as an education for home owner on how hard water is and its effect such as soap usage and the difference in water types

Water softening system does not necessarily produce salty water. Water softener can be controlled to the level of “softness”. Make adjustments slowly every few days and the perfect setting would be attained.
