Shower head water softener is simply a shower head with chlorine removal system. The shower head cartridge is made with KDF-55 filtration media which is much more effective on hot water than carbon media. KDF-55 is a new and unique water processing medium made of specially formulated high purity, bimetal material. Through its natural electrochemical REDOX (oxidation/reduction) absorption action, the filter cartridge is able to reduce and remove unwanted contaminants from water. KDF-55 cartridge operates as a multifunctional medium which has superior capabilities of de-chlorination of water and reduces dissolved heavy metals in water supplies.
KDF-55 Shower Head Water Softener
KDF media consists of a high purity copper-zinc formulation. These substances exchange electrons or bond with chlorine and other metals such as lead, mercury, iron and hydrogen sulfide in the water to create harmless substances. The de-chlorination capacity of KDF-55 medium exceeds that of an equal quantity of activated carbon by over ten-fold. In addition, KDF-55 shower head water softener inhibits bacteria growth (fungi, algae and mold) throughout the entire unit. Testing has shown reduction of up to 90%, thus eliminating the need for silver which is considered a pesticide. Silver is commonly used in carbon-only filters. As an added benefit, KDF reduces lime scale, mold and fungi.
Durability Of Shower Head Water Softener
Shower head water softener is able to remove safely up to 99% of the chlorine in the municipal water during a hot shower. For one who enjoy having a long hot shower, shower head water softener eliminates the fear of absorbing chlorine through skin or inhaling potentially harmful amounts of chlorine vapor. Commercial shower head water softener comes with a water massage head with many different spray settings to give consumers the comfort & luxury of a fabulous shower. Replacement filter cartridge is also available for the shower filters.
KDF media has been the most effective media for use as shower head water softener for more than 10 years. Each cartridge has a useful life of between 6-12 months in most cases.
