PLAINSBORO — A 74-year-old groundskeeper at the Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course is lucky to be alive after nearly drowning yesterday when the 2,200-pound mower he was driving flipped, slipped down an embankment and trapped him in a pond up to his head, police said.
